New and revised harmonised standards under the EU Machinery Directive
On 7 September 2026, the European Commission published Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/2015 on machinery standards. Following a request from the European Commission, CEN and CENELEC drafted new standards and revised existing ones.
Machinery manufactured in conformity with harmonised standards are presumed to comply with the essential health and safety requirements set out in Annex I to the Machinery Directive.

The Decision also lists standards that were amended or corrected without being classified as newly drafted or fully revised standards. These include, for example, EN IEC 62061:2021, EN ISO 4254-7:2017, EN IEC 62841-2-6:2020, EN 62841-2-11:2016, EN 13155:2020+A1:2025 and EN 14439:2025.
