Machinery
Machinery is an assembly of movable components joined together for a specific application and powered by energy other than human or animal effort.
Specifically, this category covers interchangeable equipment, safety components, lifting accessories, chains, ropes, webbing, removable mechanical transmission devices, and partly completed machinery. In the European Union, Directive 2006/42/EC on Machinery applies to such products. A new Regulation will replace the Directive, with date of application 20 January 2027.
